About Dr. Terry Farquhar

Dr. Terry Farquhar began his professional journey as a registered nurse, spending five years at Alberta Children’s Hospital before transitioning to dentistry. He completed his dental training in 2010 and is now a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada as a Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Farquhar also serves as a clinical faculty member with the University of British Columbia Medical Program.

He currently serves as Vice-President of the Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and acts as Liaison for U.S.-trained pediatric dentists within the same organization. His leadership roles have included Past President of the Canadian Pediatric Society Oral Health Section and Past President of the Kelowna District Dental Society.

 

Dr. Farquhar Is An Active Member Of Numerous Professional Organizations

He frequently offers seminars to professional groups such as the Canadian Pediatric Society, UBC Okanagan Medical Program, and various regional dental societies. His public service articles on pediatric dental care are available under the education page of the clinic’s website.

Personal Life

Originally from North Bay, Ontario, Dr. Farquhar and his wife, Tamara, have lived in Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and New York, primarily for education and training. They now reside in British Columbia with their three children—Perrin, Tallula, and Jude. Outside of work, Dr. Farquhar enjoys music, snowboarding, mountain biking, swimming, hiking, and, most of all, spending quality time with his family.
